With all that’s going on in the world, hoteliers need to show the industry and their guests what causes they support.

As I am sure all of you know, there’s been a lot going on in 2020.

From the COVID-19 pandemic to the fight for justice and equality for Blacks to the upcoming presidential election, it’s just a lot.

In the middle of it all, many hoteliers have stepped up to show what they believe in, which is so important for guests, employees and all of us to see during these challenging times.

One way hotels are showing who and what they support is through social media channels.

Hotel Hive in Washington, D.C., has filled its Instagram with causes it supports, from Black Lives Matter to the LGBTQ community to being a pitbull-friendly hotel (as the owner of the world’s sweetest pitbull, this is something I greatly appreciate).

Hotels are also showing their support of causes through banners, lobby installations and more.

The Shinola Hotel in Detroit features an “I Voted” vitrine in the lobby with a QR code that provides resources on how to register to vote and become informed on the upcoming election.
