Hotel News Now spoke with Sightline Hospitality president Kirk Pederson in a video interview at The Lodging Conference to discuss details of the new third-party management company, which comes from the merger of Kokua Hospitality and Filament Hospitality.
PHOENIX—To be a good manager, hoteliers need to have some scale, which is the motivation behind the merger of Kokua Hospitality and Filament Hospitality to create Sightline Hospitality, President Kirk Pederson said during a video interview at The Lodging Conference.
The merger combines the strengths of the two companies: Kokua brings a stable platform with a lot of brand knowledge while Filament’s strength is marketing, Pederson said.
The new third-party management company seeks to form a stronger connection between guests and the location they are staying in while helping hotels gain better reviews on TripAdvisor, because that’s where travelers are looking to plan trips, he said.
