Kokua Hospitality has joined with Filament Hospitality to form third-party management company Sightline Hospitality.

(SAN FRANCISCO; September 23, 2019) – The well-established independent hotel management company Kokua Hospitality, LLC, has joined forces with the marketing-savvy, experiential travel visionaries Filament Hospitality to become Sightline Hospitality. The hybrid third-party management company brings together people, places, and possibilities to redefine hotel management.

Experienced Executives
Kokua Hospitality, with 15+ years of experience as an institutional third-party hotel management company, has primarily focused on branded, soft-branded, and independent hotels. Working with bottom-line-driven investors, Kokua has fulfilled clients’ needs ranging from executing daily operations to building award-winning adaptive reuse projects from the ground up. Over the last decade, Kokua has been entrusted to manage over $8 billion in hotel assets.

Creative Visionaries
Filament Hospitality, the trailblazers redefining hospitality by inviting guests to “see what we see”, brings a wealth of experience working with private investors to manage independent hotels. Filament’s focus on bespoke, experiential travel has redefined the guest experience.

People, Places, Possibilities
Sightline Hospitality connects people with the places they’re traveling to by working with owners and investors of all sizes to explore possibilities and maximize returns.

“Hotel stays have always been about the experience, but today’s guests require hoteliers to think beyond four walls.” says Sightline Hospitality President Kirk Pederson, a 30-year veteran of hospitality and lodging. “The market is telling us that experiential travel is more than a trend – it’s a necessity. Whether staying in branded, soft-branded or independent hotels, guests are seeking out experiences. Sightline Hospitality fulfills that need by combining the unique strengths of the Kokua and Filament teams.”

With its boots-on-the-ground structure, Sightline Hospitality goes where other management groups will not, filling the travel industry’s need for a third-party management company that is both entrepreneurial and well-established.

“Over the past few years, we’ve talked with owners and guests about their goals, expectations, and frustrations in the industry. We’ve connected the dots to predict where hospitality and travel are trending,” says Pederson. “Sightline’s vision isn’t just our own—it’s shared by owners and investors, and informed by our guests. We’re connecting people to the places to create better lodging experiences.”
