Mark Williams is coming up on his one-year anniversary as CEO at Coakley Williams Hotel Management Company and is leading the company with a people-first mentality.
ATLANTA—Leading Coakley Williams Hotel Management Company in its third generation, CEO Mark Williams is careful not to put his company into a certain box, but one thing he’s sure about is the importance of caring for his employees.
Williams spoke with Hotel News Now during the recent Hunter Hotel Conference about the company’s strategy, current focus and completing his first year as CEO.
“I’ve been CEO for about a year now; I’m coming up on my one-year anniversary with that and it’s been an amazing year,” he said. “So the strategy moving forward is to really refine the programs that we’ve developed, that have grown up with us, that my grandfather and my father and his partner created over these years. … What drives me and what I get up for every day is seeking out opportunities for our people. … I’m in business to help serve the people that work for us. I want to take care of them and we want to grow and provide opportunities for them.”
