PHOENIX—McKibbon Hospitality* President Randy Hassen said 2016 has been a big year for the company, and he has a few projects he’s personally looking forward to.

Hassen spoke with Hotel News Now at this year’s Lodging Conference to talk about project highlights from 2016.

“2016 has been a great year for McKibbon; we’ve got several projects in the pipeline,” he said. “We’ve got one opening toward the end of the year, (the) Hampton Inn & Suites Avion Park in Tampa. We’re going through a new rebranding initiative—which is very exciting for McKibbon—new website; we’ve got new marketing collateral material that we’re rolling out, so it’s been a big year.”

Hassen said the company recently announced a hotel and condo project in downtown Asheville, North Carolina, which will be part of the Tribute Collection.

McKibbon is opening an AC Hotel in Asheville as well, and “a really interesting project right in the epicenter of Charlotte, which is a dual-branded AC and Residence Inn,” he said.
