Panelists who spoke at this year’s Hotel Data Conference shared their predictions on hotel transactions through the end of 2017.
NASHVILLE, Tennessee—The hotel industry cycle appears to be slowing down, but experts still see opportunities for transactions through the end of 2016 and into 2017.
Hotel News Now talked with speakers on the “Transaction pulse” panel at the 2016 Hotel Data Conference to learn their thoughts on the direction of hotel deals through 2017. Panelists include: Mary Beth Cutshall, SVP of acquisitions and business development at HVMG; Rob Stiles, principal and managing director at RobertDouglas; and Russell Shattan, SVP of acquisitions and development at MCR Development. While they agreed the transaction pace has slowed down compared to previous years, that doesn’t mean there aren’t any more deals out there.
