G6 Hospitality CEO Rob Palleschi talks on video with Hotel News Now about his vision for the future success of the Motel 6 and Studio 6 brands.

NASHVILLE, Tennessee—Growing the brands in many facets is a top priority for G6 Hospitality CEO Rob Palleschi, who first joined the company in 2017 as chief development officer.

Speaking with Hotel News Now on video at the 2018 Hotel Data Conference, the longtime Hilton veteran called his return to the hotel industry “a fantastic adventure.”

“It’s been an exciting time at G6,” he said of the company, which owns the Studio 6 and Motel 6 brands. “We’re growing our brand. We have 158 deals in the pipeline, and surprisingly … almost half of those deals are new-construction.”

Palleschi said he has seen the company return to a focus on what it means to be a brand.

“As owners and operators of brands—we have 1,500 properties today, and we own 500 of them—you have a tendency to push the brand a little to the side and focus on operations,” he said. “But we’re trying to bring that brand acumen back into the business.”
