In this video interview with Hotel News Now, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts’ SVP of global distribution talks about the impact of the company’s recent growth on its distribution strategy.
NASHVILLE, Tennessee—The addition of more than 900 hotels under the La Quinta Inns & Suites brand and 13 million La Quinta Returns loyalty members to Wyndham Hotels & Resorts this year is giving the company more power and leverage across its distribution channels, SVP of Global Distribution Tammy Peter said.
“We really believe that scale matters,” she said in a video interview at the recent Hotel Data Conference. “The more scale we have, the better leverage we have with those (distribution) partners, so I think that’s really going to help us in the future.”
The company’s focus on loyalty has resulted in higher “brand-direct volume … both in traffic and hotels booked,” Peter said, adding the integration of La Quinta Returns into Wyndham Rewards, on track for the first half of 2019, “strengthens that proposition even more.”
