Richard Solomons retires as IHG's CEO on 30 June. Hotel News Now caught up with him in early June at the NYU International Hospitality Industry Investment Conference to talk about his legacy with the company.

NEW YORK—InterContinental Hotels Group CEO Richard Solomons spoke with HNN’s Jeff Higley at the recent NYU International Hospitality Industry Investment Conference to offer his insights into where the hotel industry has been and where it is headed. Solomons retires from the company this week.

Solomons also spoke with Higley about his personal accomplishments in his 25 years with IHG, including six as its CEO, and his post-retirement plans, which do not include another job in the hotel industry, he said.
