Tour de Data is making its next stop in Atlanta to take an in-depth look at the city’s hotel market and profitability.

BOULDER, Colorado—Tour de Data, hosted by STR Analytics and the STR family of companies, is making its next stop in Atlanta to take an in-depth look at the city’s hotel market and profitability.

Tour de Data events give attendees a look at the latest hotel industry trends and data as well as innovative ways to use it. The event will feature market-specific data, Atlanta-specific profitability data, transaction data, national industry overviews, innovative ways to benchmark and comp set statistics.

Hosted at the W Hotel Atlanta in Buckhead, the event will be held Thursday, November 15 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. EST. Tour de Data Atlanta will consist of presentations, an Atlanta expert panel discussion moderated by Patrick Mayock, editor in chief at, one-on-one conversations with the STR Analytics team and a cocktail networking event.

STR Analytics will give attendees a comprehensive look at the Atlanta market, presenting statistics such as:

  • Atlanta has seen the strongest year-to-date average-daily-rate growth and actual demand since 2007.
  • During the past 12 months, Atlanta has seen a net loss of 400 rooms across the market due to room conversions and hotel closures.
  • There are 5,682 rooms in Atlanta’s active pipeline including 1,705 Upscale rooms, which will boost the scale’s overall supply by 12.5 percent.
  • Atlanta continues to perform below the total U.S. in terms of demand percent change and actual occupancy, ADR and revenue per available room.
